Intentionality and lifestyle/habit change

Almost everyone, including me, probably has something they'd like to change in their life. Work less, play more, get better quality sleep, eat better, get more exercise, see friends more, be more present with your family/spouse/partner.

Intentionality can help with all these things if you choose to make that your intention for the day.

Work less: "finish on time" or "don't get distracted"
Play more: "limit your time on low-value activities"
Get better quality sleep: "read a book, not a screen, for 30 mins before bed"
Eat better: "get your 5-a-day"
Get more exercise: "get your 10,000 steps" or "take the stairs"
See friends more: "make a lunch date"
Be more present: "put aside distractions"

James Clear's bestseller, Atomic Habits, is a fantastic read if you're genuinely interested in making long-term habit changes in your life.

One quote applies directly to setting a daily intention:

"All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow."
